MT-Blacklist Initialization script [mt-bl-load.cgi]

This page configures the necessary database tables to run MT-Blacklist on your system. If all of the tasks needed to successfully complete setup on your server, you will see a notice to that effect at the bottom of this page. If there are any problems during setup, you will see them display on this page so that you can make the appropriate corrections.

Important note: Before you start MT-Blacklist, you should check to see whether your server can run Background tasks (not all can). Background tasks enable auto-updating from the master blacklist as well as a wide variety of other functions that enhance MT-Blacklist.

   1. Run the utility mt-testbg.cgi included in your Movable Type distribution in another window and return here.
   2. If the test passed, edit your mt.cfg to change LaunchBackgroundTasks from 0 to 1
   3. Start using MT-Blacklist!

NOTE: If background tasks are turned on, you first execution of MT-Blacklist may take a long time to initialize while the master blacklist is being downloaded and parsed. Please be patient.
Very Important:

Now that you have run mt-bl-load.cgi, you will never need to run it again. You should now delete mt-bl-load.cgi from your webserver.
